In keeping with the venerable Sierra tradition of calling every big thing Devil's something-or-other, I dubbed this curious item Devils Chillum.

Ahem... yes. Well, I found it interesting the way this tree was cored by a burn that probably smoldered for years, possibly even leaving the tree alive until wind knocked it over. The tree only needs its outer surface to live, so you never know.
