This was the first morning I awoke soaked with dew. The night before had been the
first with any cloud cover, and even thunder, so I guess there was finally enough water in the
air to condense. The glassy surface of this little lake was frequently disrupted by breaching,
ravenous trout. You can only imagine the feeling of this soft, wet grass on bare, beleagured feet. Ahhhhh....
Knowing I'd have more than enough time today I took plenty of it to have a lazy breakfast, dry
out my stuff, and thoroughly enjoy my surroundings. Though 12 miles lay between me and my destination,
it was all downhill, which was no longer the dismaying prospect it had been two days before. The
first twinges of sadness at leaving were felt this morning. I suppose I could stay here another day...
