After resting for about 20 minutes, I hoisted the albatross and wearily continued. For some reason, I decided I'd like to cross Granite Pass this day and make my camp on the other side, at Granite Lake. I couldn't escape the feeling that I was hiking through a Flintstones episode.

As I neared the Southern end of the plateau, where Goat Crest rises, I scanned for this Granite Pass. Could any of these notches be it?
