Back in the shadows again. This is a good example of decaying granite, as opposed to the consolidated monoliths found elsewhere in Kings Canyon (and other obscure destinations such as Yosemite). As I took this shot I was about a third of the way down the GS, trying not to actually put any weight on my feet with each step.
