After hiking past the titanic mass of Window Peak, I kept company with its neighbors, Castle Domes. These giants slope directly down to Woods Creek, behind me as I take this picture. The land on which I now stand, believe it or not, is privately owned. It staggers the mind to think that some mere human claims to "own" something like this.
